Missie's Magical CreationsWell I didn't feel up to posting a thing yesterday. Couldn't keep my eyes on and even fell asleep on the toilet! Today I am semi awake.
Of course surgery couldn't be just cut and dried for me. I have lots of adhesions (scar tissue) in my belly so he had to cut his way to my gall bladder which is probably why I am so sore today. I remember waking up and hearing someone moaning and briefly feeling sorry for them until I realized it was me moaning and I was really really hurting. They gave me some dilaudid, good stuff, and then I started itching all over so they gave me some benadyl, which really made me zonk off, so then they had trouble with my oxygen level, so I had to be woke up and told to breath Julie Breath! Leave me alone I just want to sleep.
Anyway its over and I am home. I am sorer then I thought I would be but it is probably because of the adhesions. Top it off with a really sore throat which is making me cough alot which in turn is making my gut hurt pretty bad, I am not having the best day.
They gave me pictures of my gall bladder. I was going to post them but decided maybe it only seems like such a good idea because I am on drugs so will wait, LOL. The walls of my gall bladder were thick which happens from years of inflamation. No surprise. Also I don't seem to be having any trouble eating, Darn. I was hoping to lose my appetite for a few months. Sigh, I can always eat. So anyway, time for bed. I am having a hard time staying awake.

I am glad you made it through surgery. Now I hope you have a quick recovery. Hoping tomorrow will be better for you. I have to take benedryl also with pain meds and I had to do that with the dilaudid when I had shoulder surgery. Helen
Glad it's over, your home, & on your way to recovery! Think how much better you will feel in a few wks!!!

You shouldnt be sore....I was cut through muscle too and didnt feel anything....good drugs is my new motto....lol...for recovery...if you feel sore tomorrow..call your doctor.....falling asleep on the toilet?..........I must confess...I've done that too....in another week you will feel like yourself....hope you can get some good movies....and have everyone wait hand and foot on you....relax missy.....-Raven
