Simply the best Supper

We had one of my all time favorite meals.  I love steak, sorry all you veggens out there.  Rick is really good at grilling.  Supper tonight was grilled steak, medium with mushrooms and garlic sauted to put on top.  For the potato we had sweet potato's that he put right on the grill.  They turn completely black and you peel that off, add smart balance and pepper after you smash it and it is heaven.  Of course you need a great veggie so I cut of zucchini and squash, some pearl red onions, roma tomatoes and sauted them until they were tender and then sprinkled parmesan cheese on top.  Very low calories but so great tasting

                                     .

Doesn't that look great....... it was great.  Now for the best part.  Saturday is Saturday Jazz and a friend of ours has a radio program that plays all jazz.  We like to start a fire pit outside, have some wine and listen to jazz.  Since Eddie knows we are out there listening to jazz and watching the stars he dedicates songs to us which is cool.  It is cool out so the fire pit is perfect.  This is what you do in Iowa when you give up TV.  On good slow songs we slow dance around the fire pit and smooch.  I love Saturdays.  I love jazz.  The best thing is, except for the steak which I limit, the calories are low and I hope the dancing burns them off.  If they don't.......too bad, this is a short life and this is a wonderful way to spend the evening with the man you love.

Hi Julie,
I got your link from Sugar, so I thought I'd stop by and say hi  :) I read through your entries and could really relate to them. I can remember the first time I heard the words "Morbidly Obese" too.....it was emotionally painful. I've come a long way but still have far to go.....I WILL get there, and so will you! Congratulations on taking control of your life....good for you!  Jazz Saturday sounds awesome :)

Pooh Hugs,
Linda~

Hi.  I'm Shelly.  Sugar sent me over.  So glad she did.  What a great journal you have.  The food sounds delish and what a great way to work it off dancing to Jazz by the fire.  Yumm!  Hugs, Shelly

Hi, what a great meal, making me feel hungry, and low in calories.Of course dancing will burn off the calories ,even if not, well worth a few extra for the man you love.
What a romantic evening you had...and well worth spending quality time together.
