Well I woke up and checked ebay and was outbid. I am not very upset because after I bid I noticed they were from Iowa and I would have had to pay state tax on top of everything else. There is a Kodak easyshare I am thinking of bidding on or I will wait until monday to bid on another Sony. Decisions, decisions.
The weather is hot and humid here. My legs are so swollen I think I will need to take my lasix even though I work. This type of weather seems to make me retain fluid really bad. I probably am up at least 3 pounds in water retention. So fun to get older.
Work was good last night and flew by. 2 more nights to go and then I am off Monday. My nights at work at least seem to go by as fast as my days off.
I did good on my diet again yesterday. I had some sugar free angel food cake with strawberries soaked in whey low for dessert. Yummy. Perfect for a hot humid day.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
We walked among the crosses
Where our fallen soldiers lay.
And listened to the bugle
As taps began to play.
The Chaplin led a prayer
We stood with heads bowed low.
And I thought of fallen comrades
I had known so long ago.
They came from every city
Across this fertile land.
That we might live in freedom.
They lie here 'neath the sand.
I felt a little guilty
My sacrifice was small.
I only lost a little time
But these men lost their all.
Now the services are over
For this Memorial Day.
To the names upon these crosses
I just want to say,
Thanks for what you've given
No one could ask for more.
May you rest with God in heaven
From now through evermore.
