Normandy Beach, Bow your heads in prayer!

                                                 Normandy Invasion

During World War II, the Allied invasion of western Europe, which was launched on June 6, 1944 (the most celebrated D-Day of the war), with the simultaneous landing of U.S., British, and Canadian forces on five separate beachheads in Normandy, France. By the end of August 1944 all of northern France was liberated, and the invading forces reorganized for the drive into Germany, where they would eventually meet with Soviet forces advancing from the east to bring an end to the Nazi Reich.

On this the anniversary of of one of the worse beach landing and loss of life of World War 2 I bow my head in prayer for the lost young solders of this war.  Thank you for your sacrifice, Thank you for your bravery, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This day does not mean the birth of a demon child to me or any other superstitious nonsense   This day is still the day America soldiers, Canadian Soldiers, & British soldiers  lost their lifes for the people of the United States Of America.  For our Freedom, Our Rights, Our children.   Thanks is never enough but Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Well said, Julie!!  A very important day in our history!  People tend to forget about it.  Glad you didn't.  My friend just lost his dad who was at Normandy.  Luckily, he lived to tell about it!
