What I love about journals

I can't afford to travel much so I love traveling in other peoples journals.  I just got back from across the sea to visit the most beautiful countryside.  Check out these pictures.  Earlier I was at Pams and went to Knott's Berry Farm which I had thought was all about jam, far from it.  I have seen cute little goats posing, beautiful flowers and Greg always has great pictures.  Visiting the journals is like taking mini vacations but cheaper.

We are recovering today.  The day yesterday was fun but not without some problems.  Someone stole my camera bag.   Fortunately I was using my camera.  Gone is my polarizing lens, my expensive rechargable batteries, my cleaning cloth and the bag of course.  Ticks me off.  It would be of no use to anyone but me.  Sigh.

And I had one to many bocks.  There were 4 different tap ones to try, I didn't try them all but the mugs were great big german drinking mugs.  I am not up to that anymore.  Then we went with Gary who insisted on going downtown and getting another drink where we could sit outside and have some cherry flavored beer and cheese.  It was good, but I was cold and sooooo ready to go home.  I felt sorry for Rick as I could tell he was tired but to polite to refuse.

Lucky me slept all the way home but he had to stay awake to drive.  We both decided today that although it was fun if we do it again we are staying for the night, and stopping at 2.  We are getting old.

Looking out the window I can see bare grass now instead of snow.  A opossum is digging around eating heavens knows what  in my flower bed.  Better not be my tubulars to my plants.  Ugly beast.  Robins  and Junko's are darting past and the sun is shining.  Another beautiful day.

Beautiful flower, isn't that a type of geranium? Glad you all have a nice time.
God Bless,

I totally agree with you on feeling like you take mini vacations when you visit other journals. It definately opens up a whole new world to alot of people who otherwise would not be able to enjoy all these wonders. I'm so sorry about your camera case. It would seem the festivals tend to invite the termites out of the woodwork. I am so looking forward to spring. I miss my garden. (Hugs) Indigo

Beautiful picture!  I agree with you on the journals. Sometimes I'll sit and read and look at someone's pictures taking it all in for a long time.  It's a nice little mini getaway.  Glad you enjoyed Knott's.
I've had cherry flavored beer before. It was the one time I actually enjoyed beer. I normally don't drink it.
Glad you had a good time. Rest up today.

I can't afford to travel that much either Julie.  But as you can see by my pictures, which you so very kindly highlighted for others to go and see, I don't really need to go anywhere...do I?  I live in a beautiful part of the world.  The English Lakes is one big National Park and so spectacular all year round.  I love coming over the pond to look at all your journals too.  Its just another way of life to read and learn about.  Travelling by armchair is definitely a more ecological way to see the world.  And thrifty too....Lol!   Smashing!

You are right...journals are a great place to escape for a while.  Even with snapshots, you get to see things from places you may never get to visit.  I hate to hear that about your camera bag.  You just got that polarizer a few months ago too.  At least you had your camera with you, that would have made it hurt that much more.  Did they break anything to get to the camera bag?  That is usually how things work, they cause $500 in damage to get $100 worth of property...or less.
