Question About the Vivi awards.

This is my first year with these and I have a question.  If the journals you want to nominate are already nominated, do you still nominate them again so they get more votes or does that help at all?  If they are there already is that enough then that they have been nominated.  I love all the journals I read and most have been nominated already so I didn't know if I should get my 2 cents worth in.  Does anyone understand what I mean with all this rambling on?  LOL.

Right now, people are just listing journals for people to go & read! Then on Oct 15th the committee will list the NOMINEES, at that time you go & VOTE on the journals that are listed as nominees. Then they will list WINNERS in Nov.
So, remembeer 0ct 15, to go & vote!!!
:)
Hope this helps.

Right now you are recommending journals for the categories you think they apply to.  Just because they have been listed doesn't mean you can't suggest them.  The more times they show up, the more chance somebody will check them out.  When it comes time to vote on the final nominations, the more people that are familiar with the journal the better.  Go ahead and give your suggestions, even if they have been listed previously.  Nominations are just a week away.

I wonder if the voting is anonymous or do we vote by leaving a public comment?  This will be interesting.

Julie...  the links that everyone has been leaving in the VIVI journal are not nominations.  They are simply links to journals, so that others can read them to PREPARE for the nominations.  The official nominations will occur on October 15th.  You will be voting at a website (link will be given a few days before the voting date on the offical VIVI Award journal), where the nominations will be counted, and journals under each category with the most votes, will then be listed so you all can go out and read them, and familiarize yourself with them, to prepare for the BIG vote on November 2nd (changed from Nov 6th) .  Again, you will be instructed where to go to cast your ballots! :)  Then, on November 11th the actual VIVI award ceremony will be held in private chat rooms and the winners will be announced!  Later in the week all the winners will be given a VIVI award with the name of their journal and what category they won to be displayed on their journal.  The runners up will also receive a plaque that says "2006 Vivi Award Nominee."  I hope that helped a bit.. :)
