Journal Surfing

How do I change?
If I feel depressed I will sing.
If I feel sad I will laugh.
If I feel ill I will double my labour.
If I feel fear I will plunge ahead.
If I feel inferior I will wear new garments.
If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice.
If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come.
If I feel incompetent I will think of past success.
If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals.
Today I will be the master of my emotions.

I have been journal surfing and there are just some amazing weight loss success stories out there.  I feel empowered just reading them and know more then ever I will succeed at my goal.  I am not sure when and really that isn't even important, just that I will do it.  I really really want this and I can do this.  Nothing can stop me from making my goal, no excuse not to go on is good enough.  I love being thinner.  I love more importantly how much healthier I feel.  Like I have shaved 10 years off of my life.  Now this is a 2nd childhood that is wonderful.  My family is proud of me.  I am proud of me.  I am happy, but actually I always was a pretty happy person.  Life is good.

My total steps today is 8628.  I didn't get my pedometer on until 12 noon so I missed whatever morning steps I would have had.

I really like the affirmations!  Especially the fifth one.  =)  I can always use an excuse for new clothes!

I'm glad that you found some great journals.  Sometimes, when I have a little free time, I like to do a 'journal to journal' thing where I read someone's journal then click on a link from their 'other journals' box and then keep repeating the process until I have to get offline.  I came across the journal of an AOL blog employee last night by doing that!  And I found a solution to the hit counter problem.  Well, not really a solution but he gives you instructions for how to set your hit counter to a certain number.  It's not that difficult.  I tried it today after I saw my journal hit counter was only 15 after it had been over 4700!  Here's his blog address:  http://journals.aol.com/journalseditor/magicsmoke/  The entry about the hit counter is on the right somewhere.

You got in a lot of steps today!  I have read that the average person does 5000 steps or less!  Good for you, Julie!

Dee, I tried the site and printed out the instructions for resetting my counter but got stuck right away when it said to click on the browse my files, I couldn't find that link to click!  I am computer stupid on some of this stuff but it sounded pretty easy.  Wasn't though.  Thanks for sending me the link though as there is some great information there.
