Burrrrrr......Baby it's cold outside

The temp is now up to 32, it was in the teens overnight.  Isn't it officially spring?  I have my plants covered and my sweaters on again, sigh.  At least it is sunny out.

I had a class yesterday for 3 hours and then we went out to eat at Sweet Fannies.  It was good to just get out and not think about things for a little.

Unfortunately my MIL can't get into the cancer doc. until Tuesday and it isn't the doc I know.  Bummer.  I am tempted to just call him, but will wait.   I just wish we knew for sure what we were dealing with.  Waiting is torture.

My MIL is actually doing pretty good.  Since she was having some trouble with pills sticking they stretched her alittle when they did the EGD.  Now she is no longer having trouble eating and isn't sick to her stomach anymore.  Thats good.  So she is eating, not enough, but eating.  And she is more decisive then she have been in months.  Wants to go to see her lawyer like yesterday, wants to go to the bank and get her bonds out like yesterday.  Wants to go over all her papers today.   I finally told her she wasn't dying today or tomorrow so just try and slow down and relax alittle.  But she say's she feels better then she has in awhile and wants to do it while she feels good.  So that is our day today.  She wants her affairs in order and she is a very hard woman to say no too.  Have I mentioned that she is stubborn?

My diet is out the window.   I can't get into it.  Doesn't seem important right now.  But I am gaining weight.  Some people lose when they are under stress, some people gain.  Guess what group I am in.  In fact Rick is making turkey bacon and french toast, LOL.  I will use my sugar free jelly.

Well, someone just came who wants to buy my old car.  Have a great day all.

I can kind of understand your MIL wanting to do these things while she is well enough. Your being a real trooper here hon. It keeps snowing on and off here and I keep saying Where is Spring!! As for your diet, I know it's important to you. But with the stress your under if comfort eating makes things easier to do, by all means. I'm keeping your MIL as well as you and hubby in my prayers on the smoke. (Hugs) Indigo

Poor you, sounds like a busy day ahead.  I'm glad your MIL is feeling better, but I guess that ultimately is adding to your stress.  Hope you get a chance to enjoy your Easter!  De ;)

Hello Julie...I have my daughter staying with me with her family and wont be able to come back on-line again until next Tuesday night.  Just know that you and your MIL are still in my prayers.  Bless her! She is just doing what we would all like to do if we got the time before we left this world. I am sending you a big hug and prayers to warm you in the cold weather you are experiencing and to keep you safe and energised to cope with all that is to come.  God Bless you both.   Jeanie
p.s. Never mind the blessed diet...there's more important things in life!  Just you indulge if it cheers you up.  xxx

Well, one good thing in all of this is that your MIL is actually feeling better; not easy for you, though.  Don't worry about your diet right now.  Do the best you can.  Keeping your family in my prayers and hoping you are able to enjoy Easter.  Chris

I think she will feel better if all of her stuff is in order. I know I would!  Good for her getting it done.
Have a blessed Easter.

I'm glad your MIL feels better, it's strange how people moan all the time when they have nothing wrong, then they discover they have something serious and it seems to put their fighting spirit back in place. I know she'll feel better when she gets her affairs in order, bless her. Don't worry to much about your diet right now, I know you'll get back on it later. Have a good Easter! What a hard job to have...I read the last few entries and glad to see that the scans came back good. Wow, what the heart can go through waiting for these type of results. When you described how you felt, your knees feeling weak, girl, I could just feel that....

Hopefully, rest and loads of that will be the next step. It was good news to read this. ~Raven
