Already Blew it.

First of all when I weighed in for the challenge I was up 8 pounds!  EIGHT POUNDS!     At home I knew I was up 5, but I weigh first thing in the morning and completely naked.  At work I weighed in after supper.  But the truth is I am up and don't deserve the last charm I was wearing so I took it off.

I was doing so well yesterday except never made it to the gym.  Supper was cooking and we were go going to the Mardi Gras parade.  Then a friend of our showed up.  Gary is a nice guy and extremely rich.  I mean millions of dollars.  I wonder what he thought of my humble home.  Anyway he brought a dozen or so bottles of very expensive and rare beers for a beer tasting evening.

Gary has OCD and does things like this.  His beer is all shelved and labeled in his basement with ratings for rarity and taste.  I am sure they are in alpabetical order.  It is just like him to pick out a great selection, pack a cooler, make his list and plan on coming over and having a party, and not letting us know what his plans are.  Oh well, it was a fun and interesting evening.  He also brought crytal wine glasses to drink out of so we sat at the patio set and had a party.  I had enough for him to eat which was good.  It was not however on my diet plan.  The chance to drink these rare and wonderful beers though does not come around often and I never look a gift horse in the mouth.

A beer tasting party is just like a wine tasting party.  You do one bottle at a time and share it.  You discuss it merits and origin, rate its uniqueness, taste and smell.  Enjoy its flavor.  I had lemon water to drink in between so we could start with a clean mouth for each new bottle.   We sat outside for about 4 hours tasting beers and listening to jazz.  A nice quiet evening.

We have a few friends that are extremely wealthy.  They all have something odd about them but we probably do also.  The only differance is they can afford to buy the best and lucky for us they share.  I share our pizza, they share expensive wine and beer.  Nice arrangement.  I go to the store for my beer, they get on a plane to go over to Europe for theirs.

Sorry your weight is up.  Mine is too....but I don't like to discuss it UGH!!  I'm avoiding the scale right now.

Sounds like you had fun with your friend.  A beer party would be fun!  Sounds relaxing.  I'd enjoy the music, conversation and company more than the actual beer.  Not a beer drinker here....although, on a hot day I've been known to have one.

Lets play the lottery and maybe we can fly off to Europe to shop!
Have a good weekend....Pamela

Sorry to hear your wt went up a few lbs. But you can get it down again in no time. You know what you have to do, do it! :)
Don't beat yourself up over 8 lbs! At least it's not 18 or 80!!!! It's early enough to get back on the ball & get it off with out too much trouble. You can do it! I'm pulling for you!!!
Wish I could get started down & stay going...seems I lose 10 & gain back 13! Will never get this last 100 plus off if I continue this way! :(
Have a nice day dear.
Hugs,
Sug
