Keeping my eye on the big picture. Rolling down this bike trail soon. This will all be worth it.
It went much better today with some sleep under my belt. Started to get to know the regulars. If it wasn't such a long day it wouldn't be bad. Did my exercises in between visitors. The new one they had me add kind of messed me up and caused more pain and swelling so I stopped that pronto.
I saw something which made me think, lots of time to think doing this job I tell you. Someone was leaving after their long shift. She was arguing with her husband. Apparently he hadn't done the chores she wanted him to do from what I could gather, (Did you know that was listed as number 2 in what couples fight about)? Anyway it got me thinking about cell phones. In the past I would have gotten home and found out my husband hadn't made supper or cleaned the house or whatever. Being tired and maybe having had a terrible day words would have been exchanged and I would have been angry. Safely at home.
Now this person maybe stays on the phone fighting with her husband all the way home. Very distracted. Not paying as much attention to the road as she is to why she is angry at the man on the phone, I don't know, maybe it was a child, anyway sharing the roads with us.
Reason number 984 why I don't like cell phones to be on why your driving. I don't like you talking why your driving. I want to watching to see if the light is turning yellow or if that small child is running out into the street. Is that car packing up seeing you coming? Any of the hundreds of things your suppose to be thinking about when your behind the wheel. No arguing, not planning to meet someone, not getting a grocery list or just shooting the breeze. Because my life if important to me. I don't want to die or be injured because you didn't shut the phone off.
So Gee, this turned into a Rant. I should have put my WARNING signs up, LOL.
Well, Rick almost has supper ready. Take care. I am behind on my alerts doing this shift but I will get to you one and all. Take care my friends.

I agree with you so much about cell phones. When someone is driving slow...or swerving....I swear 9 times out of 10 they are on the damn cell phone! I hate 'em!!
Glad you survived another day. Enjoy dinner and relax!

I agree; we have cell phones banned from being used whilst driving over here in the UK. Some idiots still persist in using them. It only takes a second of distraction to kill someone while you're talking. Glad you stopped doing the exercises which made your knee swell again, you have to figure out what helps and what doesn't. I had the same thing with my back, some exercises just didn't work. Jeannette xx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
i do hope that this works for you:) have a good week

Just stopping in to say HI and HUG's and I agree about the cell phone's, I carry one but pull over to the side of the road to use it. Last thing I need is to have to have brain surgery to remove the cell battery from between my eyes when I run into a tree. Hugs :))))))))) Doreen
I'm with you on the cell phone tirade. I can't stand to see people talking on them when they are driving. I know several people that by habit, the minute they crank up the car, the phone dials, and they start talking. I couldn't do it...I hate talking on the phone to begin with, but I really can't stand the distraction it causes when driving.

I absolutely loved that bike trail!! It looks so serene and peaceful! I agree about the cell phones. I think it's the rudest invention yet , people are to busy talking to pay attention to where they walk, or anything else around them. And your right driving is the scarest of them all. (Hugs) Indigo
Oh I love the path, looks like I should follow it! Oh I have mixed feeling about cell phones. I tend to overuse them myself, but I don't air my dirty laundry in public. Have a good day or night...De ;)
I love that picture. I know what you mean about exercises making a place more sore. That is what exercises or physical therapery does to my back. Puts me in bed several days. How can it help if it does that? I never answer the cell if it rings while I am driving. I always pull off the road and call the person back. Of course I don't drive very much anymore so that is not a problem for me. If I call Ken on his he has me wait until he can pull off the road if he is in traffic. I don't call him much when he is driving. I see a lot of it on the roads though. I am against using the cell and driving. Hope your knee soon gets well. Helen
