The creatures in the first picture below are soft shelled turtles. They were laying eggs in the mud when we rode by and I had to get pictures. It would be so neat if we we see the babies hatch.

I thought it must be a turtle, but I didn't know they came in a soft shelled variety...that's so cool.~Meg
