Later the Same day.

Enjoying the freedom that was given to me I decide a bike ride was just the way to celebrate.  So off we went.  26 miles.  It was perfect for riding today.  Warm but not way hot.  Nice breeze but not so bad that you had to struggle again'st the wind.  We stopped at Subway on the way and bought some subs to eat when we got to the park.   I got the light Turkey of course.  After working out at the gym the other day my arms were so sore and I have a hard time lifting them.  The bike riding seems to be aggrivating them.  It was the only thing wrong with the ride.  One thing I have noticed about being this age.  You pay for the things you do.  Take a week off from the gym and it is like starting all over.  You pay for everything with pain.  But,  I have learned not to let pain stop me or I would never do anything.  So we still went on and had a lovely day.

I saw lots of photo ops but most of them wouldn't stay still long enough for a good pictures.  We saw a mother turkey with her young,  a young buck with a full rack.  I did get this picture of this wonderful bird.

I also saw some wonderful flowers.  The scent was heavenly.

On the lake the mother Canadian goose was minding her flock.

And as always my other half along to make the ride so much nicer.

We ended the ride our usual way, with a beer at Jolly Rogers.  It tasted great.  When I went to get back on my back though I had a horrible charlie right behind my knee and up into the back of my thigh.  Agony.  I didn't have any way I could move to stop the spasm and end the pain.  I walked for awhile and finally was able to get on the bike and ride to the van.  Tomorrow I will be sore.

Back home we grilled burgers and enjoyed the rest.  Maybe fireworks today but I am bushed now.  Another nice day.
