Good Morning J-Land

Don't accept your dog's admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful.

It's already a warm humid day and I woke up with an asthma attack.  Oh Goody, another first.  I thought it would be nice to sleep with the windows open but apparently something triggered closing off my chest so I couldn't take a deep breath.  I almost, but not quite, perfer the charlie horses.  Sheesh, can't I just wake up rested and refreshed for a change?

I am going to the gym shortly.  Rick is out of town so I will go alone but that is fine.  I have been slacking at the gym lately.  I didn't feel like I could be gone yesterday but Dan is getting around much better.  I changed his dressing yesterday and he has the beginnings of a  pressure sore on the top of the foot that was bothering him.  It is a good thing I loosened the dressing when I did.  The quaze was so tight and his legs are pretty swollen.  I had a fun time putting the ace wraps on I tell you.  What's wrong with Ted hose?  The heart patients wear them and I am used to putting them on.

Breakfast this morning is going to be a slim fast and a banana.  I am going to have a salad for lunch with a 3 oz can of salmon.  Since I do not know yet what time Rick will get home tonight I am not sure about supper.

I weighed in this morning and according to my scale it is still up just the 5 pounds I knew about.  I had better get busy or I will have to pay next week.     I have some great things around to eat so this will be a cakewalk today.  Right?  RIGHT.

Well, I am off to the gym as Dan is awake.  Treadmill here I come.

All done at the gym.  I had a really good workout.  I did the treadmill for 30 minutes + a 2 minute cool down.  I set it for the incline that goes up and down and did it at a speed of 3.8.  I have such short legs anything faster and I will be be running and I do not run.  Then I did the weight machines.  I love it.  Burns so good.  I haven't been to the gym for a couple of weeks.  We neglect it when we ride our bikes.  I suppose tomorrow I will be hurting but I plan on going tomorrow also.  Lunch was the large salad I planned and Dan ate one also.  I used light tuna instead of the salmon.  Red onion, tomato, balsamic dressing and a sprinkling of parmesan cheese,  Yummy!  The rest the day is going to be spent housecleaning.  The dust is unbelievable living on a gravel road.  I am also on my 2nd 24 ounces of water.

Geepers, poor Dan! Better keep a close eye on that pressure area! Why not Ted Hose? As long as you know how to put them on (we nurses have no prob with it) :)
Menu today sounds like a winner!
YOU GO GURL!

Good luck at the gym.  I do hope you have a great workout.  The picture of your doggie is great!  His coat is so smooth and shiny!
Sending good wishes your way for Dan.  I hope he feels better soon.
