Back to work

The time flys by so fast.  I feel like I need another few days to really relax, but alas I need to go make some money.   I just got a raise so it will be nice getting the extra cash.  I hope it shows on my check and not on my taxes.

My son is still miserable.  Yesterday we had ice on the leg to reduce the swelling, but  I read that heat should help so will switch to that.   If his leg wasn't so painful I would put a ted hose on it that I have.  I don't think he could stand to have it pulled on though.  He slept very little last night.  I wish I knew more about this type of surgery.  I keep thinking it should be simular to what our heart patients used to feel like when they used the large vein out of their leg.  I guess some did have more swelling then others and bruising.   Maybe my son has a low pain tolerance,  I just don't know, but it looks painful.  I think he should be up and moving around more so he doesn't get clots, but he said he can hardly stand on it today.  Sigh.  What to do, what to do.  It has been a week today.  Anyone know anyone who has had this done?   Is this normal?  I am going to talk to our heart doctor when I see him in the morning.

Breakfast this morning was a mini bagel with low fat cream cheese.  When Rick gets back I am going to the gym.  The great news is I didn't get a charlie horse last night.  Usually the 2nd day after a long ride I get them terrible.  Maybe my legs are finally getting used to it.  I sure hope so.

I will weigh in tomorrow at work officially.  I think I had better bring some quarters.  Unless some miracle happens by tomorrow I don't think my weight will be down again.  Wouldn't it be great if exercise alone was enough to make you lose weight?

Well, everyone have a great day.  The weather is perfect here in Iowa.

Keep a close eye on that leg.  They might have to go in and check the circulation.  Do a "run off" study, yanno?  If that pulse disappears, get him to the ER pronto!!
Good luck on the weigh in!!
