Work today

Above is Ebony, my MIL's cat.  She has made the hospital bed her home.  Hope she enjoys it because her future is certainly up in the air.  We have been trying to get her and my dog to get along but the reason my MIL has her is because we couldn't get them to get along.  So what happens to this sweet little cat.  We will keep working on it.  Hopefully we can find a good home for her.

I am home packing some boxes on some sales and getting my uniforms ready.   Work now for the next 4 nights.  I feel like I have already been working for a week, LOL.  Tomorrow I get to sleep in my own bed.  We have my MIL's nieces arriving today to stay with my MIL and my BIL is back tomorrow.

It has been reassuring to see that although he is still nickel and diming her all the time no major thief has occurred.  I feel kind of bad, but just can't trust the guy.

I cleaned the house and it sparkles.  Should last until he gets home tomorrow.  There are burns in the carpet.  He puts his cigarettes out on the floor in the basement and they are all over and there are nails all over the floor in the garage.  Lucky we saw it before we got a flat.  The oven was a mess and I got that clean.  I did not make his bed though.  I told my MIL I don't pick up after my son and I am not going to pick up after hers.

We slept well last night.  She had a bad morning this morning though.  Lots of chest pain and short of breath.  But we slept late and I got about 9 hours.  Wow.  I haven't had that much for a long time.  I have a roast in the crock pot for supper tonight.   We are good to go.

Yesterday she had a volunteer come to visit her.  While he was visiting a huge tree down the block fell on his car totaling it.  We felt so bad.  He is elderly and it wasn't insured for that.  Hope the city comes through for him.

That was terrible about the bridge collapse.   We pay all that money for taxes.  They knew the bridge was bad.  Why even inspect the bridges if they have no intention of repairing them.  Take less vacations with our tax money and put it into our roads.  We have bridges here I won't take.  They bounce when traffic gets on it.  Very scary and some are a lot older then the bridge that collapsed.  My prayers to them all.

Well.  Time to finish my packing.  I am sorry I haven't visited lately.  I will be playing catch up.

Beautiful cat!   I don't much like cats, but if I were to like 'em, I'd like the black ones...lol   I'm sure you'll find her a home.
Poor volunteer!   What kind of luck is that??
BIL may have a redeeming quality yet eh?

Ebony is a beautiful cat. Maybe put feelers out to your vet. Sometimes when someone has to put a pet down they are looking for something to replace them. The vet could keep his ear out if anyone enquires about cats needing a home as well. I hate to say it, but I truly wish your BIL wasn't coming back. You did so much work in that house this week. The kitty is so pretty.  I would have the same problem with my Grizzly and a cat.  He tolerates Megan's cat, Mocha, because he was young when we got her, and she is super timid.  He wouldn't tolerate any new animals here.  Glad you are able to keep your MIL comfortable and BIL hasn't caused any major damage.  Sounds like you are feeling better also.  Hang in there.  Chris
