My luck continues

I can't get in to see my hand doctor until Sept 5th.  I can't see another Dr because I have already seen this doctor for this.  I can't get anyone else to inject the wrist to give me some relief until I see the doctor.

Remember the old days, you called your doctor and went in to see him the same day.  You didn't have to wait months to get seen.

Of course they said they could give me pain pills to help me make it through till then.  I don't want to take pain medicine for a month.  I hate taking them for more then a day.  My brain is foggy enough without help thank you very much.  Sigh.

So it looks like I will be living with this brace for a lot longer then I would like and the pain even longer.  They have me down for the first cancellation.  The weird thing is the only thing I can think of that might have caused it to flare up is doing a lot of manual blood pressures on a patient one night.  It was after that it started to hurt again.

I did get 1 and a half years off the last injection which sounds like it is amazing it lasted that long.  So that was lucky.  I can't get Zoey right in either.  We are both have bad luck.  She doesn't seem to be in any pain though.

That is a long time to have to wait but that is they way it works with specialist. I have been wondering how Zoey was doing. Hope you both feel better soon. Helen

I'm so sorry you didn't get an early appointment with your Dr. Julie.  I got my steroid injection for my shoulder the next day after I saw my doctor.  I am able to get an appointment on the same day I call up the surgery. I so wish that were true for you as I know the pain you are experiencing.
Its a good thing that Zoey isn't showing any pain or suffering.  That would wrack you more than anything.  Animals can't tell you it hurts. They only show it through their body language.
Wishing you better luck and health soon dear friend.
Hugs

So sorry!  Can you imagine if we had socialized medicine how long the wait would be?  Ugh.  I hope you get in sooner, Zoey too.  De ;)
