Hi EVeryone

And to say I miss everyone.  2 more days of work and hopefully will catch up on my days off.

Well I have been very busy as you can imagine.  Work has been very busy and its been hot during the days sleeping.  Time to put the AC in the window all ready.  It went from Winter to Summer until today.  It is perfect today.  76 and a light breeze.  I would be so happy if it stayed this way.

My MIL, well she is on oxygen now and we have a hospital bed set up downstairs for her.  Rick has been over there most of the time because of me working and sleeping.  I guess my BIL is still planning on moving back and in with her.   Since I would not be able to take being around him 24 - 7, I guess we will see how he does taking care of her.  He might surprise us all.  It would be easier not having to move in with her as I would worry about leaving this house so empty.

I haven't seen her much this week.  I feel guilty about it somewhat, but can't do much about it with working.  My husband seems to be handling it pretty good so far as long as she can still do quite abit for herself.  She did tell me she needed laundry done today and he was upset she never mentions it to him while he's there.  Sometimes she treats him like family and me like the help, unpaid at that, LOL, and it ticks him off.  She never was very tactful.  After 34 years I have gotten used to it.

My FIL always treated me like his daughter.  Taking care of him when he was sick was so easy.  We got along so well and I loved him.  My MIL isn't quite as easy.  We clash.  She has never been as welcoming and is harder to get along with.  I still love her, but it was just easier with my FIL.  My MIL still has to do it her way, right or wrong.  You can't tell her anything which might make it easier on her.  Her and my BIL are so much alike.  It should be interesting to see how this goes.

My son is coming home on the 18th.  I am so excited.   I haven't seen him in a year and a half.   The grandkids aren't coming, but seeing him will be so nice.  It is the longest I have ever gone without seeing my son.  Something to look forward to that will be nice.

Well, time to go and finish up some chores.  Hope everyone is doing well.   I am down 7 pounds!  With the warmer weather my appetite has dried up.  Time for salads and tea.  Take care all.

Hopefully your BIL will be able to take care of her at least until she gets completely bedridden. I believe he will back out when the going gets rough. Probably expect you there also. I know you are going to enjoy your son being home. Helen

How lovely to see you on-line again Julie.  I had guessed you were whacked from working too hard.  I was worried too that Betty had taken a turn for the worse. Isn't it magical how our hearts are so easily lifted when a loved one says they are coming home again to see you?  Now that's wonderful news.  Your son is going to lift you back up again.  Time will tell how your BIL will cope when he arrives to look after his mom.  If he does help, make the most of it!   Take it easy when you can.   Jeanie

I'm so glad you will get to see your son, Julie.  That ought to brighten things up.  LOL at you and your MIL.  It's always hard to two females to co-exist in the same household, especially when one is strong willed and domineering.  Hope your BIL steps to the plate.  Chris

Hi Julie, congrats on the weight loss! Good job!  I hope your BIL does ok with her care once he arrives.  It sounds like she's really deteriorating if she's already on O2 and needs a hospital bed. No fun!  Give Rick a hug for me. I know it's hard on him.
Have a good night.

So far we keep hearing promises of your BIL coming to do his part. I'm sorry if I have to say I'll believe it when it happens. For your peace of mind I hope he makes fools of us all. I'm delighted to hear your getting a visit from your son, you need this for yourself in the midst of all that is going on. Keeping everyone in my prayers on the smoke!! (Hugs) Indigo
