I checked on the baby eagles this morning and was thrilled to see them taking their first trial flights from the branches to the nest and back to the branches. Practicing beating their wings they look ready to take off at any second. Once they fly from the nest will they come back to it or will it sit there empty?
Well, off to ride.

I just went over and looked, they seem to be gaining confidence. I'm not sure if the nest will sit empty but I know eagles just add on to their nest each year. I saw one in Florida which was 10ft tall by around 8ft wide!! Jeannette xx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/

i've never gotten that site to open for me. :( i was fortunate enough to watch a pair of eaglets mature last summer. the web cam was set up in canada...it was amazing. would have loved watching this pair.
