The Phone Call

So I got the call from Rick.  Nervous little chuckle.   Guess where I am.......  Small town USA.   Motorcycle broke down.  Sigh.  What to do.....

My son is just such a nice man.   He showed up accidentally to help me bail out Rick in his time of need.   My son drives a big ole pickup.   A truck which I have told him frequently was just a gas hog and not at all practical.   I was thrilled to see him pull in today.

Gee wouldn't it be a great day for a road trip I asked?   Well.... I do have plans he said, Why?  Well....you daddy is stuck again on that sorry &*$%!)#HH piece of metal he calls a motorcycle and needs us to pick him up, pretty please.

So off we go to motorcycle neat road number 85 to pick up Rick who is stranded with a bike that doesn't like to travel as much as he does.  It was a good day for a ride and I am just happy that his old self is safe.

After supper we are watching a movie.  I am happy he is here to watch it with me.  I hope the bike stays broken for a long time.

Wow...guess you talked him up having problems.  Glad it wasn't another wreck.  Hate that the bike broke down, but at least he is ok.  Good thing there was that old gas hog of a truck that came by to provide a solution to the problem.

All's well that ends well.  Glad your son came along.  Do they have hit men for motorcyles?  Have a good week ahead!  Chris

Glad all went well.  My son had a motorcycle accident almost 3 yrs ago, had to have tendon reassignment/transfer in his right wrist because he couldn't use it.  I'm glad he (my son) finally realized bikes are not for him.  He drives a big old Avalanche now!

I'm snagging this picture for my pc wallpaper at work.  THANKS!

Hi Julie,
I just sold my big 04 GoldWing bike a few weeks ago due to arthritis-- but I been biking for over 30 years to and from work.  Nice pix!   I live in Wisconsin which is pretty too and can't wait for more snow that my new Dodge Ram 4 by 4 loves.
I could REALLY use some advice on losing weight, please.

Glad he is home safe & sound. You have the right attitude, whenever I get frustrated that Marv leaves his socks wherever he takes them off, sometimes one in one room and one in another....I always say to myself "I'm glad I have him here to pick up socks after". It puts a different perspective on things and has made us a couple who never "sweats the small stuff".

Love & Pooh Hugs,
Linda

I know just how you feel Julie!  What would we do without our men?  Even if we grumble about them sometimes...lol!   It's nice to see them sitting there beside us each day.
Stay snug as bugs and safe too.  Glad he got home safely.

Hugs

you sure can make me chuckle at times.  :)  love both pix, the bottom one is beautiful, but something about that lone solitary tree really pulls at me.
