Yak! The line at the kitchen sink before bed that consisted of each of us swallowing a tablespoon of caster oil..YAK! Yes the lines in school for shots and the memories of just how many times I ended up last in line, over and over and over again until someone realized I wasn't in kindergarden and my class left the hall an hour ago! PRANG...shot! I remember when the only excuse from Phys Ed was your period and the teacher wasn't stupid enough to believe a 11 year old could have it every week for a month! Pffft! humm wonder how the boys got out ot it?? Oh yeah, and I remember the walks to school when the drifts were way over our heads, we went thru the small passageways dug for us, and we prayed we didn't have to walk a mile home for lunch for the same baloney sandwich and bowl of tomato soup...we use to pray for noodle soup and real "ham"! and one last thing....Friday...once a week we quaked at the thought of FISH and the fact all meat was withheld for just one day a week! Now them were the days! xox DoorAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4565536527735548627.post-21784150807194255492007-02-26T15:32:00.000-08:002007-02-26T15:32:00.000-08:00Oops...the FISH has to do with the fact Catholics ...Oops...the FISH has to do with the fact Catholics were not to eat meat on fridays and we all hated fridays and fish stew, fish cakes, fish soup, fish on a stick, fish in a bowl..we all wish for a heaping dish of green eggs and ham! :))))))))hugsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
