Work

   Had a busy night last night.  Spent the first 4 hours on the surgical floor and had a nice group of patients, but that got me started later on my floor when I got back at 11:20.  Had to run some platelets in fast and get report then go to a code blue on another floor.  That tied me up for 45 minutes.  I ate my supper which was lean gourmet  turkey and veggies and a great salad.  I had my apple with melted peanut butter for dessert.  Had a late admit and had to give 2 units of blood plus a confused patient climbed out of bed and fell needing staples.  Time just flew by.  Around 5 I had a couple of multigrain cakes and that was it.  I didn't get any water in. 

    It is rainy and cool this morning, perfect for sleeping.  I think I will ask Rick to make a crock pot meal.  Just found out they are going to make us stay until 7:30 from now on instead of getting off at 7!  We are suppose to clock out and take a half hour supper.  I could scream.  That way they work us an extra half hour with no pay.  They want us to watch the lights while the nurses get report.  It's always something.
